Manuel F. Casanova
Manuel F. Casanova, MD is the SmartState Endowed Chair in Translational Childhood Neurotherapeutics for the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and the Greenville Health System. He belonged to the founding board of the National Alliance for Autism Research (now Autism Speaks) and the Autism Tissue Board. He has served on the Board of Directors or Scientific Advisory Board of numerous organizations (e.g., Autism Research Institute, Generation Rescue, On Mental Health, Families for Effective Autism Treatment, Clearly Present Foundation) and is presently on the editorial board of 15 different medical journals.
Dr. Casanova is a world-renowned expert in neuro-developmental disorders including autism, having dedicated his professional career to research. He is currently writing a series called: Talking About Autism’ that aims to unravel all that we think we know about autism and understand better the complexities of this condition. We are very excited to publish his work soon.
